Jenna zilic
Biology, BMB
Jenna rushed Alpha Chi Sigma her freshman spring, searching for a sense of community after coming to BU. At first, Jenna was just looking for a place to belong, but after a year of bonding with fellow brothers, she saw the opportunity to step up as the next Community Service Chair. Little did she know that this decision would become one of the most rewarding parts of her college experience.
Coordinating events wasn’t always easy, but she found so much fulfillment in connecting our chapter to the Greater Boston community. Planning her first blood drive was a proud moment, and now, she’s working with SAO to create a guide that will help other clubs organize similar events. But the most meaningful project that came from her time in this role is the Chemistry Closet—an upcycling initiative that provides used lab materials to students in need. This initiative perfectly blends my love for sustainability and chemistry, and it’s something she’ll carry forward with pride.
Alpha Chi Sigma has been more than just a fraternity to Jenna—it’s where she found my passions and built lasting connections. Leaving this chapter and BU will be hard, but she knows the sense of community she’ve found here will guide her in creating similar spaces wherever she goes.
jasming senel
neuroscience
Jasming has always enjoyed science, from its ability to create change and make a difference to its collaborative nature. Going into college, she strived to find a community that would support her academic and personal endeavors. Luckily, she found that in Alpha Chi Sigma.
Jas's first memories of the fraternity are with the Psi pledge class. Being a freshman during rush was intimidating, but her pledge class helped her find her niche. Now, Jas enjoys meeting the new rushes during library hours, holing up in Mugar during exam season with the brothers, and spending time with her fellow Wyverns.
To Jas, AXS is family. She loves how she got to meet some of her closest friends throughout her time as an active brother. One of Jas's fondest memories is the Big/Little reveal each semester, where she has seen her family grow exponentially. She is excited to see what is in store for future semesters of the fraternity.
Jenny Aung
biology bmb
Jenny rushed Alpha Chi Sigma as a sophomore, seeking a community where she could develop her professional skills. Surrounded by many business friends, she felt that she didn’t have access to the same professional development workshops and resources they did. As a STEM major, Alpha Chi Sigma became a place where she could pursue professional development while also building lasting connections. Through events such as networking panels and workshops on interviewing, resume building, research presentations, and exploring STEM careers, Jenny experienced significant personal and professional growth.
One of the highlights of Jenny’s time as a brother in Alpha Chi Sigma has been the close-knit community, especially with her pledge class and her AXS family. She found an incredible mentor and big, who offers her invaluable advice and support. Some of Jenny’s fondest memories include spending time with her big during her study abroad in Korea and the Big/Little reveal. She also cherishes the relationship with her little, who she adores for being hardworking and dedicated, along with her sibling who consistently supports her.
Jenny has built lifelong friendships with her closet brothers who have continually pushed her to excel in both academics and life. She cannot imagine what she would do without their support. Alpha Chi Sigma has given Jenny much more than professional development—it has provided her with a close-knit community that she is grateful to be part of every day. Jenny is excited to continue growing alongside all the brothers and to strive for an even closer community where they can grow together. She knows they will push one another to achieve new heights and build lasting connections that will continue long after their time in Alpha Chi Sigma.
